Readers Become Leaders
Strong readers have a better chance of becoming successful people!
Together we can give children a brighter tomorrow. SCwSG partners with schools, state and civic groups, and other community leaders from inner cities to rural areas. We visit schools, orphanages, after-school programs and other venues, helping students become high achievers and enthusiastic learners. We want to help build a world where every child is valued, educated, and never left behind.
Research proves strong readers have healthier, more successful and prosperous lives. Reading difficulties and illiteracy contribute to school failure, high drop-out rates, increased absenteeism, juvenile delinquency, teen pregnancy, drug use and other problems that negatively impact our communities.
Statistics indicate that at least 20 percent of parents do not read to their children ages 3 and under. Our mission is to provide our books to these and other at-risk children. By donating and purchasing Gracie books and merchandise, you help us achieve this important goal!

Gracie's Story Changes Lives

Foster Care Love Kit Sponsorships
Sponsor a Love Kit for a foster child today! SCwSG hopes to provide a Love Kit to every child entering a foster home. These are special kits filled with a book and CD, a T-Shirt, a Gracie Cuddle Baby play kit, a bookmark and a tote bag. When possible, we encourage adding toiletries (toothbrushes, toothpaste, soap, shampoo) and other such items.
Agencies, foster homes, schools , civic groups, and/or hospitals often sponsor Love Kits for local programs. When sponsorship funds are available, SCwSG will match budgets dollar for dollar or help with other arrangements to make Love Kits available for all children in need.
SCwSG also has a certified Foster Home in Eagle, Colo. run by SCwSG founders Paul and Dr. Diane Dike. The home provides love and help to children and families in need. SCwSG welcomes those who desire to help in any way, including but not limited to, investing personal time as: babysitters, homework mentors, play partners (especially in cold weather), shoppers, meal/snack providers and household helpers. All are needed and appreciated, no matter the gift to share or the amount of time available. Please consider sponsoring the SCwSG Foster Home with your time, gifts, finances and prayers!
